The Arc Mid-Hudson is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Kingston, NY

New full-time opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist, located in Kingston!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare, submit and track all electronic billing data to Medicaid and related funding sources on weekly or monthly basis
  • Research and resubmit all denials on a weekly basis
  • Responsible for accurate and timely monthly billing for preschools to counties and reporting to school districts
  • Ensure necessary documentation and related information are accurate and up to date prior to submission of claims
  • Examine claims for accuracy and request any missing information
  • Take payments as needed (cash, credit cards, checks)
  • Process EFT payment posting daily including weekly Medicaid remittances
  • Prepare State and County vouchers as required
  • Monitor Contract terms and expiration dates

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or 3 years of relevant experience in an Accounts Receivable environment
  • Medicaid billing experience in a Human Services agency or Long Term Care Facility is required
  • Solid understanding of billing software, electronic medical records and HIPAA compliance
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Superior computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Financial software and general ledger entries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.63 - $25.09 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
